Frequently Asked Questions

Everything DFW drivers ask us about paintless dent repair, hail damage, and working with insurance. Can't find what you need? Call (972) 854-9490.

General PDR

What is paintless dent repair (PDR)?+

PDR is a specialized technique that massages dents out from behind the panel using purpose-built rods and reflection boards, without sanding, filler, or repainting. It preserves your factory finish, keeps your CarFax clean, and protects resale value compared with conventional body-shop repair.

Does PDR damage the original paint?+

No. Paintless dent repair keeps your factory paint 100% intact because the work is done from behind the panel. There is no sanding, no primer, no clear coat, and no color match required. The panel leaves our Garland shop with the same OEM finish it had before the dent.

How long does paintless dent repair take?+

Single door dings: 30–90 minutes, often same day while you wait. Full hail damage: 3–7 business days depending on dent count, panel coverage, and how fast your insurer approves the estimate. We give you a written turnaround date before any work starts.

Do you offer a warranty?+

Yes — every repair carries a lifetime workmanship warranty against the original dent returning, for as long as you own the vehicle. If anything ever pops back, bring it in and we'll re-repair it at no cost. The warranty is honored only at our Garland shop.

Can PDR fix large dents?+

Most of the time, yes. Our techs routinely repair large dents from hail, shopping carts, and parking-lot impacts as long as the paint is still intact and the metal is not creased through the body line. Even softball-sized hail damage is usually a PDR candidate. Text photos to (972) 854-9490 and we'll confirm same day.

Do you repair dents on trucks (F-150, Silverado, RAM, Tacoma)?+

Yes — full-size trucks make up a large share of the vehicles we repair in Garland. We handle steel and aluminum panels on F-150, Silverado, Sierra, RAM 1500/2500, Tundra, Tacoma, Frontier, and Ranger, including hoods, roofs, bedsides, tailgates, and cab corners. Aluminum-bodied trucks like the F-150 require specialized PDR tooling, which we run in-house.

How do I know if my car has hail damage?+

Park in direct sunlight and walk slowly around the vehicle, looking across each panel at a low angle. Hail dents show up as shallow round dimples — most commonly on the hood, roof, trunk, and upper fender tops. Run a hand across the panel; even dents you can't easily see will feel as small depressions. If you suspect hail damage after a DFW storm, text photos to (972) 854-9490 for a free same-day assessment before you file a claim.

Hail Damage

Will filing a hail claim raise my insurance rates?+

No. Hail is a comprehensive claim. By Texas law, insurers cannot raise your premium for filing a single comprehensive claim.

How long do I have to file a hail claim after a storm?+

Most Texas carriers give you 12 months from the storm date, but file sooner — parts and rental cars run short fast after a major event.

Can hail damage total my car?+

Only if repair cost exceeds about 70–80% of vehicle value. PDR is typically far cheaper than conventional repair, which often keeps borderline vehicles out of total-loss territory.

Insurance

Do you work with my insurance carrier?+

Yes — we are direct-pay approved with USAA, State Farm, Geico, Allstate, Progressive, Farmers, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, Travelers, and Mercury, among others.

Do I have to use a body shop my insurer recommends?+

No. Texas law gives you the right to choose your own repair shop. Your insurer cannot require you to use one of theirs.

Will I have to pay my deductible?+

Typically yes — but we offer a deductible-assistance program that brings most customers to $0 out of pocket on comprehensive hail claims. Ask when you call.

Pricing & Estimates

How much does paintless dent repair cost?+

Most door dings and small dents range from $95–$215. Larger panel damage from hail typically runs $325–$1,500 per panel. Full hail jobs are usually fully covered by comprehensive insurance.

Are estimates free?+

Yes — completely free, no obligation. Text photos to (972) 854-9490 or drive in for an in-person inspection.

How fast can I get a quote?+

Same day. Text photos to (972) 854-9490 and we'll text back a written estimate, usually within a couple of hours during business hours.
